QUILT ENTRY DROP-OFF INSTRUCTIONS:

BEFORE YOU DROP OFF YOUR QUILT…

A few things to remember…

1.   Label your quilt!  Your label must include your name and the date the quilt was completed (month & year is sufficient).  If you had someone else quilt it for you, you should indicate that on the label also.

2.   When you deliver your quilt to the drop-off house in October, you must bring it in a fabric bag.  This can be an old pillowcase or a bag that you’ve made from leftover fabric.  Your name should be on the bag, too.

3.   While you are at the drop-off house you will stitch a colored piece of fabric onto your quilt and onto the fabric bag that will give your quilt an assigned number.  This helps us to keep track of your quilt and deliver it to the appropriate area for the quilt show.

4.   You will receive a receipt for your quilts from the drop-off hostess indicating what quilts you left with her, their assigned numbers, and if someone other than yourself will be picking them up after the quilt show for you.  This receipt must be presented after the quilt show before any quilts are returned to their owners and/or the friend picking them up for you.

5.   Attach a hanging sleeve to your quilt!  This sleeve should be 4” wide.  If your quilt is 36” square or less, you can apply a 2” sleeve.  Very small quilts (24” or less) can be pinned to a background and do not require a sleeve.  Please see the following link for further instructions: shows contests sleeve_instructions

Tickets are $1.00 each or $5.00 for six tickets.  Tickets are now for sale at our guild meetings or by calling Deb or Diane directly. RAFFLE QUILT:          DESIGNER: Caron Carlson   630-879-0983

Caron has designed a beautiful quilt named “Prairie Bounty” of dark golds and blues.  An appliqué center is bordered by log cabin blocks.   Star blocks with four patches running through them surround the log cabin blocks and an outer pineapple block boarder completes this outstanding quilt.  The quilt measures 96” square.

Although the February 1^st deadline has passed for submitting your challenge quilt for inclusion in the PSQG 2011 Calendar, you can still submit your challenge quilt to be included in and hung at our Quilt Show in October. Please submit your challenge quilt to Ginny Wright no later than August 24 to be included in the Quilt Show!
